Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using Cervidia, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the application. These terms govern your use of the Cervidia personal finance management application, including all features, data storage, and future updates.

What Cervidia is

Cervidia is a personal financial tracking and management tool. It helps you:

Track bank account balances and transactions
Record and categorize income and expenses
Monitor investments and assets
Set and track monthly budgets
Import transactions from bank statement CSV files
Generate monthly financial reports

What Cervidia is NOT

Cervidia is not a licensed financial service. Specifically:

It is not a bank or payment service
It is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser
It is not an RBI-regulated financial entity
It does not provide personalised investment advice
It does not guarantee accuracy of any projections or calculations
It does not have access to your actual bank accounts
It does not execute any financial transactions on your behalf

Any insights, recommendations, or projections shown in the application are for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making financial decisions.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter
You must not use the application to store or process data belonging to others without their consent
You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or circumvent the security of the application
You must not use the application for any unlawful purpose

Data and privacy

Your financial data belongs to you. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for any purpose other than operating the application for you. For full details on how data is collected, stored, and protected, please read our Privacy Policy.

CSV import and bank statement handling

When you import bank statements via CSV, you acknowledge that:

You are the authorised account holder for the statements you upload
Only the transaction data fields you explicitly map (date, description, amount) are stored by the application
All other information in the CSV file (account numbers, customer IDs, etc.) is discarded and never stored
You take responsibility for ensuring you are permitted to use the statement data in this way under your bank's terms

Accuracy disclaimer

While Cervidia aims to calculate all financial figures accurately, we make no warranty — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any number, projection, chart, or insight shown in the application.

Net worth figures, budget burn rates, savings rates, and any AI-generated insights (in future versions) are derived from the data you enter and should be independently verified before acting on them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cervidia and its creators shall not be liable for any financial loss, investment loss, data loss, or other damages arising from your use of or reliance on the application. This includes, without limitation, any errors in calculations, missed bill reminders, or decisions made based on application insights.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the application evolves. The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Significant changes will be communicated through the application. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of Cervidia shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
